Liver Surgery

Evaluation and management of:

  • Benign liver conditions including benign tumours, abscesses, cysts.
  • Malignant liver tumours eg hepatocellular carcinoma, liver metastases, utilizing the latest French resectional techniques, and non-resectional techniques like radiofrequency ablation.
  • Stone disease of the gallbladder and biliary tree.
  • Benign and malignant conditions of the gallbladder and bile duct (including recurrent pyogenic cholangitis, cholangiocarcinomas and benign strictures).
Laparoscopic Surgery

General and advanced laparoscopic surgery including management of:

  • Gallstone disease
  • Diagnostic and staging laparoscopy for appendicectomies, colectomies and tumour evaluation
  • Minimally invasive management for obesity using the Lap-Band
  • Management of gastroesophageal reflux requiring laparoscopic fundoplication
General Surgery
  • General Surgery with special interest in hepatobiliary surgery , pancreatic surgery and advanced laparoscopic surgery
  • Upper gastro-intestinal surgery (including cancers of the oesophagus and stomach)
  • Colorectal surgery ( including cancers of the colon, rectum, hemorrhoids and other perianal conditions)
  • Endocrine surgery ( including thyroid surgery and laparoscopic adrenelectomy for adrenal tumours)
  • Breast surgery
Outpatient Surgery

These are operations that can be done in the minor operating theatre within the clinic’s premises or as a day surgery procedure in Hospital.

These include:

  • Excision biopsy of skin lumps, breast lumps
  • Incision and drainage of skin abscesses
  • Ligation of piles / hemorrhoids
  • Circumcisions
  • Endoscopy procedures including gastroscopy for stomach ulcer/cancer
  • Colonoscopy for polyps, piles & cancer
Pancreatic Surgery

Evaluation and management of benign and malignant conditions of the pancreas. Utilizing the latest techniques in pancreatic resectional surgery

Dr Tay Khoon Hean

Dr Tay did his undergraduate medical education at the National University of Singapore graduating with MBBS in 1988. He subsequently obtained his surgical fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and Royal College of Surgeons of Glasgow in 1995. He completed his Advanced Surgical Training in General Surgery in April 1998.
